MINUTES AND ACTION ITEMS FROM VIRTUAL EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING MAY 1, 2022

Meeting started with a condolence to Prajwal Bista who recently passed way in a car accident and sympathy to the family:
1. To approve the minutes of the last meeting as circulated All participants approved minutes from the meeting held on April 3, 2022.
2. Current Silver and Founding Members
All executive members and active members are encouraged to become founding member by December 31, 2022. All discussed on founding member fee and other fees and clarified that the entry member can be added to a founding member and other member fees (example for Founding member fee: entry member fee $100 + $900 = $1000). As of the meeting date, following members are registered Silver and Founding members:

All members were reminded to take opportunity to become Founding member by paying membership fee in installments and pass this information to other members about the opportunity to become Founding member through the installment payments. At present, following members are paying in installments for Founding members:

3. Membership Drive
The meeting discussed the membership drive strategy and decided that the executive committee will arrange regional meetings specially in the area where the new Nepali families moved in i.e. Roseville, Rocklin, Natomas and Woodland.
SNCC was invited to participate June 22, 2022, picnic in Woodland and decided to discuss in the next meeting for how to participate picnic.
The meeting also decided to attend the Nepali class organized by the Rocklin people for the membership drive.
4. Website Updates
All participants discussed and suggested to update website to reflect current membership status and SNCC activities. Saroj Bardewa briefed status of updates, and he assured that website will be updated as recommended in meeting with Deepak Maskey, Suman Shrestha, Jagadish Shrestha, Santosh Sah, Tikaram Subedy, and Saroj Bardewa.
5. Social Activities
a. Jeevan Vigyan Satsang Program: All are notified that the Jeevan Vigyan Satsang program jointly organized by SNCC and NAFCA will be held on May 6, 2022 at Laxmi Narayan Temple. Everyone with their friends and family are invited to attend the program.
b. Free Medical clinic: As discussed in the last meeting to conduct free medical clinic for visitors from Nepal or persons deprived of medical insurance with the help of Nepali doctors, nurses, and community members. Dr. Dinesh Pokharel took an initiation to coordinate with UC Davis Medical Center and moving in positive direction.
6. Miscellaneous
The meeting discussed about to transfer the funds raised before the incorporation of SNCC to the SNCC accounts. After discussing in detail Deepak Maskey, Suman Shrestha and Madhan Karki will take an initiation to discuss with other concerned persons first and will report the updates in next meeting.
The next monthly meeting is scheduled for 10:00 am-12:00 am, on June 5, 2022. The meeting will be held in person at Orchard Park at 2936 W. River Dr, Sacramento, CA 95833. Meeting was adjourned with a vote of thanks to the Chair.
