Greater Sacremento Nepalese Community Center Meeting Minutes April 3, 2022

Meeting started with agenda items:
1. To approve the minutes of the last meeting as circulated
All participants approved minutes from the meeting held on March 6, 2022.
2. Founding Members
All executive members and active members are encouraged to become founding member by December 31, 2022. As of the meeting date, following members are registered founding members:
1. A P Upadhya
2. Arjun Banjara
3. Deepak Maskey
4. Gajendra Adhikari
5. Mahendra Bhandari
6. Narayan Silwala
7. Rajendra Sahi
8. Suman Shrestha
9. Sushil Joshee
10. Uddhav Giri
All members were reminded to take opportunity to become founding
member by paying membership fee in installments, and pass information
to other members about opportunity to become founding member through
the installment payments. At present, following member is paying
founding membership fee in installments:
1. Jagadish Shrestha
3. Website Updates
All participants discussed and suggested to update website to reflect
current membership status and SNCC activities. Deepak Maskey, Suman
Shrestha, Jagadish Shrestha, Santosh Sah, Tikaram Subedy and Saroj
Bardewa had virtual meeting after the March 6, 2022 meeting. Notes on
website are provided to Saroj Bardewa and Tikaram Subedy for updating
website.
4. Membership Drive
All agreed that the Executive Members including regional representatives
should approach to the Nepali families and request them to become SNCC
member. In addition, each executive committee member should make
effort to make at least one new member.
5. Social Activities
a. New Year Program: The proposal from NAFCA to organize the New Year
program as “Organized by NAFCA and Supported by SNCC” was rejected
but made the following counter proposals to NAFCA:
i. Organize the New Year program jointly
ii. Organize the New Year program by NAFCA only
iii. Organize the New Year program by SNCC only
b. Jeevan Vigyan Satsang Program: All discussed and agreed to organize
the Jeevan Vigyan Satsang program jointly with NAFCA on May 6, 2022.
c. Free Medical clinic: All participants discussed conducting free medical
clinic for visitors from Nepal or persons deprived of medical insurance with
the help of Nepali doctors, nurses, and community members. All agreed to
include agenda item for the next upcoming meeting for detail about how
to operate the clinic.
The next monthly meeting is scheduled for 10:00 am-12:00 am, on May 1,
2022. Meeting was adjourned with a vote of thanks to the Chair.
