Greater Sacramento Nepalese Community Center (SNCC) Meeting Minutes

                                                                                  July 13th, 2021 Labyrinth Community Park, Rancho Cordova

 Attendees: Deepak Maskey, Anil Baral, Surendra Adhikari, Mahendra Bhandari, Ganesh Thapa, Sujan Pokharel, Anup Dahal, Subas Poudel, Kamal Pangyani, J P Sapkota, Laxmi P Ghimire,                        Binaya Shrestha, Madan Karki, Peetambar Dahal, Dipendra Timalsina, Dinesh Bhattarai, Suman Shrestha, Saroj Bardewa, Govinda Dhakal, Ravi Kafle, Dinesh Pokharel.

1.       Financial Report: N/A 

2.       Future meetings to be held in person, most likely in different regions, so we can maximize the attendees, and boost our membership drive. 

3.       Social Events: Plan for Teej that is right around the corner. Most likely to be in an open environment, considering the lingering COVID19 issues. Dashain could be a possibility as well,               but that one is usually organized by NAFCA.

4.       Membership drive: Next meeting to be held in Roseville by the Roseville Chapter. We have new families that have migrated to Roseville from the Bay Area that may be interested to               join SNCC. We need to invite all of them and have an outdoor event just like this one. We would love to have them join the Sacramento Community Cause and sign up for             
           membership to SNCC.

5.        Website: 

           ·         Saroj will take the lead in getting the website ready for the election.

           ·         Saroj to check if the membership renewal fees of 10/annual is automated or not on our website.

6.       Fundraising: A total of 2788.92 was raised by SNCC and a check was handed to the SNLC (Sacramento Nepalese Lions Club). The check will go to help the people of Nepal through              AMNF (American Nepalese Medical Foundation)

7.       Election: Election Committee was formed as follows.

           ·         Peetambar Dahal – Chairperson 

           ·         Saroj Bardedwa – Member

           ·         Kamal Pangyani – Member
          We need to get the website ready for the election to be held as soon as possible.

8.       Next Meeting in Roseville on August 10th, which is a Tuesday at 6:30. 

·         Roseville Chapter needs to inform SNCC of the venue and snacks/drinks. Other members can/will help with funding of the snacks or we can collect the amount at the venue to cover                the expenses.
